Ultra Music Festival

Ultra Music Festival is one of the world’s leading electronic music festival brands, bringing the biggest names in dance music to audiences across the globe.

Across multiple international editions of Ultra, I oversaw the livestream, content production and social output, from liaising with artist management to leading teams on the ground to curating and directing the show in the gallery.

The goal was to turn the energy of a live festival into content that worked everywhere: from the live broadcast itself to fast-turnaround films and social clips designed to reach millions of fans around the world.

Livestream

I oversaw the editorial flow of the livestream, curating the broadcast schedule and deciding how much of each artist’s set made it to air. Once they stepped off stage, I coordinated the rapid turnaround of their performance, delivering finished sets back to the artists within hours of playing.

Interstitials

I led the creative and production of livestream interstitials. This included opening films, festival items, presenter pieces-to-camera, artist interviews and an end-of-day highlights film.

When writing scripts, I like to inject a playful sense of humour that matches the energy and personality of the presenter.

Social Clips

I turned the biggest moments from the livestream into social-first content, catching the drops, surprises and crowd moments worth sharing. I selected and shaped clips for Instagram, TikTok and YouTube Shorts, getting the best of Ultra onto fans’ feeds while the moment was still happening.

Ultra 25th Anniversary Countdown Series

For Ultra’s 25th Anniversary documentary series, I interviewed some of the world’s biggest DJs, uncovering the stories and moments behind the festival’s history.

I also ran a global casting campaign to find Ultra’s biggest superfans, interviewing them to bring a different perspective to the series and help tell the story from both sides of the stage.
